Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Coffeely handles account data, coffee tracking data, subscriptions, ads, diagnostics, notifications, and deletion requests.

Overview

Coffeely helps you record coffee and cafe spending, understand your coffee rhythm, set personal goals, and optionally unlock deeper analytics with Premium. We collect only the information needed to run the app, keep your account secure, sync your records, manage subscriptions, show ads, send optional reminders, and improve reliability.

This policy applies to the Coffeely mobile app and related services operated by Ismail Akca. The public Privacy Policy URL for App Store submission is https://ismailak.ca/coffeely/privacy-policy.

Data We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, authentication provider, and account identifiers created by Supabase or social sign-in providers. Passwords are handled by Supabase authentication and are not stored directly by Coffeely.
  • Coffee tracking data: expense amount, currency, category, place, optional note, rating, favorite or pinned status, and timestamps that you enter in the app.
  • Profile and goal data: preferred currency, notification preference, onboarding coffee baseline, coffee goal mode, weekly or monthly targets, monthly coffee budget, and average coffee cost.
  • Subscription data: RevenueCat app user ID, product ID, plan tier, premium status, renewal status, expiration date, billing provider, and related subscription event metadata. Full payment card details are handled by Apple, Google, or the relevant store provider and are not stored by Coffeely.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports, error details, app version, device or operating system information, performance data, and diagnostic breadcrumbs when Sentry is configured. Sentry is configured with default personally identifiable information disabled.
  • Advertising and ad interaction data: Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads may process IP address, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, app set or app-scoped identifiers, ad impressions, ads shown, ad interactions such as taps or video views, app launch or usage interactions, diagnostics, and performance data.
  • Local device data: cached expenses, pending offline sync operations, selected language, selected currency, notification settings, and exchange rate cache stored on your device to make the app work smoothly.

How We Use Data

  • Create, authenticate, and secure your account.
  • Sync your coffee logs, profile settings, goals, and preferences across sessions and devices.
  • Show spending totals, streaks, trends, place rankings, heatmaps, exports, and goal-aware recommendations.
  • Manage Premium access, purchase restoration, subscription status, and related entitlement records.
  • Request, serve, limit, measure, and improve ads, including non-personalized ads, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, analytics, fraud prevention, and SDK reliability.
  • Schedule optional local reminders and summaries when you enable notifications.
  • Respond to support requests, account deletion requests, and privacy requests.
  • Diagnose crashes, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal or store requirements.

Third-Party Services

Coffeely may use trusted third-party services to provide app features. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

  • Supabase for authentication, database storage, and account deletion functions.
  • RevenueCat for subscription status, purchase orchestration, and entitlement management.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play for billing, purchase confirmation, refunds, and subscription management.
  • Sign in with Apple and Google OAuth for optional social sign-in.
  • Sentry for crash reporting, diagnostics, and reliability monitoring when configured.
  • Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads for serving and measuring ads, including non-personalized ads.
  • Frankfurter API for currency exchange rates. Coffeely does not intentionally send account data to this service.

Tracking, Ads, and Sale of Data

Coffeely uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads to display non-personalized ads. Non-personalized ads are not based on your past behavior, but Google Mobile Ads may still use contextual information, coarse location inferred from IP address, cookies or mobile advertising identifiers, and similar identifiers for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, analytics, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and performance measurement.

Google Mobile Ads may collect or share device and advertising identifiers, ad impressions, ads viewed, ad interactions such as taps or video views, app launch or usage interactions, diagnostic information, and performance data. Coffeely does not sell personal data and does not use your coffee tracking records to build advertising profiles.

Notifications

Notifications are optional. If you enable them, Coffeely schedules local reminders and summaries based on your preferences and coffee history. You can turn notifications off in Coffeely or in your device settings at any time.

App Store Privacy Summary

The App Store privacy details should match the final production build. Based on the current Coffeely implementation, the main disclosed data categories may include contact information, user identifiers, purchase or subscription information, user-generated coffee tracking records, usage data, diagnostics, advertising identifiers, ad impressions, ad interactions, and third-party advertising data related to Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. Coffeely does not currently collect precise location, contacts, or health data.

Retention and Deletion

We keep account data, coffee tracking data, goals, preferences, and subscription entitlement records while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app from Profile, Account Management, Delete Account. Deletion removes your Coffeely account and associated app data, including profile data, coffee history, goals, preferences, and Premium entitlement records stored by Coffeely.

Deleting your Coffeely account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. Store subscriptions must be managed from your Apple or Google account subscription settings.

If you cannot access the app, contact ismaillakkca@gmail.com from the email address connected to your Coffeely account. We may need to verify account ownership before processing a manual request.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can update your name, preferences, goals, and notification choices in the app.
  • You can export supported coffee history data when the export feature is available to your plan.
  • You can request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal data by contacting us.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
  • You can manage advertising identifiers, ad personalization, and app tracking permissions through your device settings where available.
  • You can disable diagnostic sharing where your operating system or third-party SDK settings provide that choice.

Security and International Processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect app data, including Supabase row-level security for account-owned records. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep Coffeely data protected and limited to the purposes described in this policy.

Coffeely and its providers may process data in countries other than your country of residence. Where applicable, we rely on appropriate safeguards, provider commitments, and legal bases such as contract performance, consent, legitimate interests, and legal obligations.

Children

Coffeely is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to Coffeely, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when Coffeely changes or when legal, platform, or store requirements change. The updated date at the top of the page will show the latest version.
